About Us
The Ministry is headquartered at Zowe House, City center, Lilongwe in community where all National Lands matters and other concerns are managed. The Ministry has digitized over 3 million land records and also maintains a library full of the filed paper records for reference. We have records dating back to 1900, over 100 years old records are securely stored in both digital and paper records. We provide the online portal for land owners and buyers to carryout transactions such as search, transfer of ownership etc.

To provide land, housing and urban development services to the general public, stakeholders and other parties seeking these services to ensure that the physical developments take place in an orderly and sustainable manner.
Composition of Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development
The Ministry is composed of the following Technical Departments:

- Urban Development
Besides the technical departments there is Administration and Support Services Department which provides management and direction for the Ministry by coordinating the following support services; Financial Control, Internal Auditing, Human Resource Management, and Stores and Procurement.
