The Unit exists to provide guidance and direction through short, medium- and long-term plans formulation; Coordinate the formulation of Ministry Budget and oversee its implementation; undertake the coordination of donor funded programs and projects; monitor and Evaluate implementation of Ministry’s policies; plans, interventions, projects and programs; and formulate appraise and execute Capital investment Projects for the Ministry.

Purpose
The Unit exists “to provide planning and policy development services.”

Functions
The Unit performs the following functions for it to achieve the above purpose.

• Provision of policy analysis
• Coordinating of programs
• Conducting Research for Ministry’s programs and policies
